At HooYu, we help businesses build a smooth digital onboarding journey that makes life easier for their customers but also helps increase KYC compliance.  We’re always iterating, improving and refining the HooYu process so we’re happy to announce that this month, we have launched a brand-new UI and UX for the HooYu journey.   

In the last few years, millions of users have been through the HooYu KYC journey, on their way to opening new bank accounts, signing-up to online gaming accounts, booking a holiday cottage or renting a car.  HooYu is trusted by some of the biggest regulated firms out there to power their customer onboarding journey, but it was time to design a new UI with an updated and easier navigation.

To create a new user journey that would streamline the customer onboarding and KYC process, we spent months testing with major players in the banking, fintech and online gambling spaces. This ensured the new UI would strike the correct balance of offering best-in-class KYC compliance while improving the process for users to sail through customer onboarding.

The UX Journey Hub

The revamped user interface provides more choice for users completing a digital KYC onboarding journey.  Digitally savvy users can follow dynamic prompts to fast-track through the process and enjoy a straight-through KYC journey. Meanwhile, users that need more support can return to the HooYu Journey Hub where they can get further guidance on what information or documents they have to provide to pass KYC checks.

Expanded customisation suite

The new UI now has an expanded suite of customisation tools. Firms can edit icons, buttons, fonts and brand colours, as well as adding custom messages. Firms can also add Custom Style Sheets to control the appearance of the HooYu journey for their users without the need to secure developer resource.  

Accessibility considerations

Many of the banks and fintechs that we work with are passionate about usability for all, so that’s why we designed the new HooYu UI for visually and physically challenged users to help ensure financial inclusion.
