The HooYu UI guides the customer to provide a selfie and image of their ID document so our facial detection and image processing can extract the customer's face from their ID document to determine a facial biometric match to their selfie.
Our sophisticated machine learning AI can be complemented by manual biometric review from our trained identity verification analysts for high-risk cases. Clients can set their own biometric match score threshold based on their risk appetite.

To do this we simply automate the capture of two selfies during the HooYu journey and use 3D motion tracking and AI-led texture analysis during a simple challenge-response process where the user has to move slightly. We’ll detect fraudsters using photos, video or animation replays or 3D masks without compromising the customer journey.
