How will the 2019 Age & Identity verification changes to the UK Gambling Commission Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice impact player on-boarding?

In February 2019 the Gambling Commission published changes to its Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP), to which all licensed operators taking bets from customers in Britain are subject.

 

The key changes to the LCCP:

Operators no longer have a window of 72 hours to verify the age and identity of players that go on to deposit and gamble. Instead, all players must be age and identity checked at point of registration or first deposit.
